3.7-Manatee Snorkeling Trip

A one day trip on the Homosassa River visiting our friends,

“The Manatees.” We’ll all gather for breakfast at 9 a.m. at the Sugar Mill Restaurant 

After breakfast it’s a short drive to the marina to board our pontoon boat with our Captain and head up the river to the Homosassa Springs. You can swim and pet these friendly creatures. Expect to have about two to three hours of snorkeling time. 

For lunch, we'll dock at one of three waterfront restaurants: The Freezer, Marguerita Grill, or the Shed. All are great places to eat and we can dock at the restaurants. 

After lunch, weather permitting and time, we’ll take a lazy ride down the beautiful Homosassa River to the Gulf of Mexico. The day would not be complete without a visit to Monkey Island (yes it really is an island with only monkeys on it). You can expect to have up to 6 hours on the river. All in all, it's just a fun day on the river and making new friends. We should be back at the dock about 4:00 don’t forget your camera!

Bring your own gear for snorkeling, wet suit if you need one, towel, maybe a floatie, sun glasses, something to drink and a snack to share would be nice, and don’t forget your camera!
