Non-Member Manatee Snorkeling Trip

A one-day trip on the Homosassa River visiting our friends, “The Manatees”. We’ll all gather for breakfast at 9 a.m. at the SugarMill Restaurant (5446 Hwy. 19 S., Homosassa, Fl. 352-628-0800)

After breakfast it’s a short drive to Manatee Marina & Pub (10175 W. Fishbowl Dr) 10:00 A.M. to board our personal pontoon boat with our Captain and head up the river to the Homosassa Springs. You can swim and pet these friendly creatures. Expect to have about two three hours of snorkeling time.

Lunch, we'll dock at one of three waterfront restaurants, the Freezer, Marguerita Grill, or the Shed. All are great places to eat and we can dock at the restaurants. After lunch, weather permitting and time, we’ll take a lazy ride down the beautiful Homosassa River to the Gulf of Mexico. The day would not be complete without a visit to Monkey Island (yes it really is an island with only monkeys on it). You can expect to have up to 6 hours on the river. All in all, it's just a fun day on the river and making new friends. We should be back at the dock about 4:00 don’t forget your camera!

Bring your own gear for snorkeling, wetsuit if you need one, towel, maybe a floatie, sun glasses, something to drink and a snack to share would be nice, don’t forget your camera!
